Understanding of
the AS-IS flow

We started the process by gaining a better understanding of the flow with the Operations team. We held discussion sessions and listened to several calls where the manual Catho Express process was carried out. We also conducted a CDS Matrix with the team to better document all the key points of the journey.

Designing the
TO BE flow

We met for 3 days in a row for this process. And, despite the time invested in all these dynamics, we gained a lot in technical efficiency, because at the same time that we were including the business and usability requirements, the TLs were bringing (albeit at a high level) the technical feasibility.

Process

Here, my involvement was end-to-end, from validating the POC with the Operations team to the delivery and follow-up of the initiative.

Challenge

We've pinpointed a substantial prospect for value delivery to:

• Recruitment agents lacking the necessary training or confidence in HR operations.

• Recruiters short on time for commitment towards HR operations.

• Recruiters who, even when devoting time to HR functions, struggle to identify the perfect candidates.

Note: It's important to note that by HR operations, we're referring to the process starting from preliminary screening up to reaching out to the final contenders for scheduling an interview.

Major Opportunity:
Despite the comprehensive resources offered via the Catho platform, such recruiters find difficulty in managing HR operations due to time constraints and/or a skill deficit.

Value Proposition:
Catho Express presents only those candidates who have a high compatibility rate and an affirmative interest in the job, thus saving recruiters’ time. All they need to do now is engage with suitable candidates for a thorough profile review and/or arranging an interview.

This whole process was put to the test through a manually led POC conducted by Catho's operations team. In the end, we evaluated and confirmed the high relevance of this initiative for revenue enhancement (average ticket) among our target demographic—small-scale and micro-entrepreneurs.

While the POC proved to be highly effective, the initiative wouldn't scale efficiently if done manually. Hence, automating it is crucial.

  1. We increased the number of vacancies that activated the feature by more than 50% when compared to the POC, fulfilling our main objective of scaling the use of the functionality.

  2. We were able to generate a very positive impact on the number of contacts made in our message box (a very important indicator in the context of the marketplace).

  3. Thanks to the recruiter's confirmation inputs, we were able to significantly improve the quality of our compatibility algorithm (an important part of our Artificial Intelligence team).

  4. It was very relevant to generate more value in the composition of Plans with a higher average ticket (intermediate and advanced).
